The client came to us with a Word document with some low-res images and lots of text. He wanted something that would appeal to moms of young children as this is a flyer to hand out to schools to convince them to purchase disaster preparedness kits for their classrooms. I started by finding this adorable image of the boy in the cape that any mother would love and built the flyer around the bright colors of the photo and the logo. I wanted to keep a happy, upbeat feel to the flyer even though it is dealing with some dreadful circumstances. It’s meant to make the parents feel safe about being prepared, not threatened by the subject matter. The client was very happy with the results.
